What is Sports Therapy?

Sports Therapy specialises in treating and preventing musculoskeletal pain and injuries, from sporting injuries and everyday life. Sports Therapy encompasses a variety of techniques from clinical assessment to treatment, including massage, exercise and manual therapy, to get you back to your optimal self and beyond
Anyone can benefit from sports therapy, even if they don’t play sport and regardless of their fitness level or age. Our treatments are suited to acute and chronic pain and injuries, from everyday tasks or from sporting injuries. It also covers those seeking general wellness and pain relief.
We assess and can treat a variety of conditions and when we do see you, we treat you as a whole individual. Everyone is different and it is important that your programme is based on your needs and goals. From those seeking general wellness to muscle strains, tendinopathy, nerve related symptoms, pain in the back, neck, shoulder, knee (please see specific pages for more information) to those wanting to improve their performance or health we can help.
This is specific to your insurance provider and it is important to check directly with them to understand your specific coverage. Vic Walls Pain and Injury Therapy is covered under Healthshield’s cash plan, just mention it at treatment and ask for an invoice.

Services are mobile, where I bring everything we need to you, treatment couch, towels, exercise equipment. We will just need a space for this within your location of choice.

Unfortunately it is difficult to answer this question as it is very individual based on what you are coming to us with but after assessing you in your first session we can discuss this and ensure it works for you. We aim to get you feeling better and back to what you love in the minimum timeframe but it is important to work with your body’s threshold.
Ideally if you can wear shorts and a vest or tshirt but please let me know if you don’t feel comfortable in this and we can discuss.
