Shoulder pain is a common discomfort affecting the complex network of joints, muscles, tendons, and ligaments in the shoulder. It can arise suddenly or develop gradually, impacting mobility and daily activities. The main shoulder joint is shallow which makes it more reliant on its soft tissues structures to support and function. Thus trauma or imbalances and overuse amongst the rotator cuff muscles or any of the structure can often be responsible for pain. There may be catching, clicking, swelling, loss of range of movement, weakness or pins and needles for example.
At Vic Walls Pain and Injury Therapy we will objectively assess your shoulder and target any imbalances or reason for your pain or injury, then work with you to move forward and progress away from pain via a combination of hands on treatment and rehab/prehab exercises individualised to your needs.
